Work with the parts of a recording.

Instrument and vocal assets for training on individual parts, with their origin and relationship to the master identified.

Source recordingComponent audio
Original multitracks and separated / derived stems are distinct asset types.

01 / Origin matters

Two asset types. Different starting points.

Original multitracks

Components from the production.

Audio retained from the recording and production process. Full original multitracks are available in select catalogs.

Separated or derived stems

Components made from existing audio.

Components extracted from an existing recording through separation or derivation. Specify whether this origin meets your training requirements.

Total stem assets
52M+
Stems per stem-enabled title, on average
~10

Not all stem assets are original multitracks. The average applies only to stem-enabled titles; not every music title includes stems.

02 / A concrete example

One master. Its supplied components.

Demo 1 shows the component assets supplied with one recording. Other recordings may have different parts.

Demo 1 / Asset relationships

Master
  • Acappella
  • Drums
  • Bass
  • Guitar
  • Strings
  • Choir
  • FX

Stem origin is not disclosed for Demo 1. The mix is for auditioning; reconstruction of the master is unverified. Instrumentation tags may include instruments without a dedicated stem.

03 / Selection requirements

Specify more than a stem count.

Roles + origin

List the required vocal or instrument components and whether original, separated or derived assets fit the intended work.

Relationships + files

Confirm master linkage, timing and technical requirements for the selected assets. Do not assume that a component set reconstructs its master.

MIDI where available

Original MIDI can accompany select content. Scope it separately from stem audio and keep the recording relationship clear.
